Our programming is guided by three central ideas:

Space to Play: giving space to all artists — from emerging to established — to present bold visions, develop craft, and play with big ideas in a supported environment.

This is Now: the need for theatre to respond to our times. Daring explorations of contemporary issues, as well as continuing our commitment to finding pathways for historically-marginalized voices to reach the stage.

The Experimental: works that push form, think outside of traditional boundaries, and that provoke thrilling new audience experiences.

All of our programmed works and artists are supported through a dedicated co-producing model, audience and community engagement and opportunities to develop work. KXT continues to be a vital pathway for new Australian writers, directors, designers and performers to develop their careers, with many starting at KXT before reaching larger companies and stages.
